Chief Instructor – Hanshi Peter Deacon ( Black Belt 8th Dan )List Item 1
Sensei Deacon began training Shotokan Karate in 1982 at the age of 50. In 1986 he received his Shodan (1st degree black belt) and founded the Royston Shotokan Karate Club.
In 1992 he received his Sandan (3rd degree Black belt) and became chief instructor incorporating all of his clubs at Buntingford, Fowlmere, Cottered and Royston into the Royston Shotokan Karate Association.
He has continued to train and teach traditional Shotokan Karate to students for more than 30 years, pursuing the knowledge of martial art techniques and their application.
